**About our facility**

Uniting Garden Suburb has 3 separate households, each with between 25-30 residents. This includes a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illness. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

**What you’ll be doing in this role**

As a Carer for Hotel services support, you’ll provide quality, timely and effective laundry duties for residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life. This is a permanent part time role offering 40 hours per fortnight.

**Your care work may include**:

- Working in the laundry in our aged care facility.
- Paying attention to personal safety and risk management for you and our residents by using appropriate manual handling techniques.
- Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

**Who we’re looking for**
- You’ll have at least 1 year recent laundry experience in aged care
- You'll have experience with industrial laundry machines (a must)
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
