**About the position**

Council’s Safer Communities Department is looking for School Crossing Supervisors who will be responsible for:

- Providing supervision to and ensuring the safety of children and the general public using the school crossings
- Contributing to the development of high-quality customer service to all members of the public
- Performing all duties in a manner which promotes effective teamwork and good public relations

This role requires staff with a demonstrated ability to make responsible decisions, and an ability to relate to and communicate with young children. The position requires working casually across our municipality (sometimes at short notice) both morning and afternoon shifts of approximately one hour per shift, on designated school days as and when required.

This is a casual role working up to 10 hours per week. You will be working maximum two hours per day.

**About you**
- Adequate physical fitness and mobility applicable to this position (including vision and hearing)
- Ability to understand and maintain general knowledge of the Victorian Road Rules in relation to School Crossings
- Demonstrated awareness of relevant health and safety issues

This position is a Band 1A currently remunerated at $39.81 per annum, plus superannuation.
