- The Specialist Family Violence Advisor Mental Health Team provides family violence expertise and support to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program (MHWP) in identifying and responding to family violence. It does this through capacity building, primary and secondary consultations, co-location and systems review to support the MHWP to undertake MARAM requirements, to support victim survivors and children and provide an understanding of how to work with the person using violence. The position will support the ermbedding of the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) and information sharing framework into core mental health practice and to align with the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce capability Framework (2021).**About you**
- To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA or relevant body
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and have highly developed skills when working with consumers who have experienced family violence, including children- Demonstrated understanding of capacity building and providing secondary consultation to high risk cases, including consumers who are using family family violence
- Understand the correlation between family violence, mental health and trauma and the impact across the lifespan
- Knowledge and understanding of the MARAM framework, current legislation relevant to Family Violence and mental health practice including the Mental health act, Family Violence protection act, Child and Wellbeing Safety Act, FVIS/CISS and the landscape of policy reform across Victorian and nationally.
