Australian Federal Government Agency has a requirement for an **Executive Officer, Strategy and Operations Branch **in Canberra or Melbourne

The Strategy and Operations Branch leads a range of whole-of-the Department's activities in areas including policy development, ministerial and government relations, stakeholder engagement and communications, workforce capability, change management, international relations, quality management and work health and safety. The branch leads a number of strategic projects including in emerging measurement areas such as digital metrology, supports work being done across the Department, and actively contributes a holistic measurement perspective to a range of stakeholders including policy partners across government.

Have the ability to demonstrate policy, program, or stakeholder engagement skills or experience in a similar role.

**What you will do**:
Develop action plans that address learning and development opportunities and staff well-being.

Collaborate with general managers and the management team to deliver communications materials and key correspondence from the Executive, e.g. monthly newsletters

Maintain and review branch governance and compliance activities, including asset management planning and business continuity planning

Maintain excellent linkages with relevant branches across the Department including finance and people and planning

Provide secretariat support in a varied and dynamic work environment, including minute taking, digital record keeping, drafting of reports

Maintain and update administrative practices, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery

Coordinate recruitment processes, including contractor panel hiring, student placements and the on-boarding of new staff.

Coordinate and monitor procurement tasks such as the annual capital procurement plan

Deliver project work related to the successful administration of the branch and the broader institute.
