**Who is Harbison?**

Harbison is a not-for-profit organisation owned by the community of the Southern Highlands. Harbison was founded by a group of volunteers in the late 1950s to provide local, independent, high-quality care and accommodation for the aged and disabled in the Southern Highlands and surrounding areas.

Today we provide general and specialised care across a range of settings and are one of the largest employers in the Southern Highlands. **What is the Role?**

We are currently seeking part time & casual catering assistants to join our team.

**_As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for: _**
- Providing quality meals to our customers using the "person centred" approach
- Preparing and handling food whilst complying with infection control practices
- Adhering to food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Ensuring the residents rights, dignity and confidentiality is always upheld
- Receiving and storing goods
- Working with staff and residents from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Supporting the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission’s requirements

Ideally, you have experience in the hospitality industry and experience in the Aged Care sector, however this is not essential. We are ideally seeking a strong focus on customer service and care and a "can do" attitude and we would be happy to support individuals who demonstrate the right attitude and approach in obtaining the relevant qualifications.

**Salary**: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burradoo, NSW 2576: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
