The Role:
BVAQ is seeking to appoint a Technical Assistant in our Waste Management area. The primary objective of the role is directly responsible for supporting the lab operations by cleaning equipment and removing waste. This Technical Assistant role does not involve laboratory testing so it does not require any specific qualifications.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Maintain a safe working environment.**:

- **Ensure to follow the safety instructions when performing tasks.**:

- **Ensure all works that perform within the area has to follow to the relevant standards and procedures.**:

- **Maintain a clean and tidy working area at all the times.**:

- **Returning the completed washing and sanitizing crates, buckets and trolleys to the labs as instructed by the Team Leader.**:

- **Maintain and control stocks.**:

- **Additional duties as required.**:

- **Cleaning at high levels**:

- **A positive attitude and friendly attitude**:

- **Repetitive lifting**

**RELEVANT EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:

- The ability and willingness to perform repetitive manual labour.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- An understanding and commitment to Health & Safety requirements.

Please note this position is casual on-call and very physical work.
