Mental Health Worker

Open Minds Lismore team are looking for enthusiastic people wanting to work with people experiencing mental health difficulties in the temporary flood accommodation sites. You will work in conjunction with the NSW Health clinical team to provide much needed assistance to flood displaced people. The locations you will be working across include **Lismore, Maclean and Grafton.**

**How you will make a difference**
- By developing a shared understanding about your clients’ values and helping them take actions that are consistent with these
- Creating and develop relationships with clients, their family, your colleagues, and teams from other agencies
- Work with the people to promote self-resilience and independence
- Assist people to make connection with community and local resources
- Assist people to secure and maintain tenancies.
**What you need to get started**:
- Up to date COVID vaccination
- Police and Working with Children Check
- Current Drivers Licence
- Minimum Diploma in Mental Health or a related field
- Experience working with people with chronic, acute, and complex mental health conditions
- An open, curious, and self-reflective manner
