**About the role**

We have upcoming work for experienced and unexperianced Traffic Controllers / Team Leaders.

We are seeking loyal and reliable people with a can-do attitude, who listen to instructions, communicate clearly, take initiative, work autonomously and as a team player. Personal attributes of physical fitness, a strong work ethic, pride in your work and commitment to safe work practices is critical.

Work will be based in Melbourne CBD, suburbs; and regional Victoria.

**Duties**:

- Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events
- Use of Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic
- Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans
- Complete vehicle pre-start checks
- Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
- Complete required paperwork
- Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site
- Report on site hazards and near misses
- Monitor traffic behaviour and or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times
- Follow instructions from team leaders, foremen, or inspectors and auditors
- Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public

**Skills & Experience**:

- Essential for this role
- Must hold valid Construction Card / White Card
- RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat
- RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plans
- 80 channel UHF radio
- Steel cap boots
- Driver's licence
- Reliable transport to attend work
- Level 2 first aid certificate
- Availability to work days, nights and weekends
- Be loyal and reliable with a can-do attitude
- Ability to listen to instructions and communicate clearly
- Ability to take initiative, work autonomously and as a team player
- Clear understanding, practice and commitment to safe work practices and quality standards

Pay: $35.04 - $44.04 per hour

- 10 hour shift

- Penalty rates
