**About the role**

Our Retail Assistant are leaders in guiding team members to attain excellence in customer service and sales. They have impeccable attention to detail and are motivated to ensure operational and service standards are consistently achieved.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Assist customers to find the goods and products they are looking for
- Provide expert advice and guidance on product selection to customers
- Process cash and card payments
- Stock shelves with merchandise
- Answer queries from customers
- Balance cash registers with receipts
- Keep the store tidy and clean
- Responsible dealing with customer complaints
- Attach price tags to merchandise on the shop floor
- Receive and store the delivery of stock
- Undertake cyclical stocktaking activities
- Manage store inventory in line with company targets and report out of stocks
- Use and manage customer and prospect contact activities, tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
- Keep up to date with special promotions and put up displays
- Execute marketing plans and catalogue drives as per marketing initiatives
- Assist and attend all external company sales events such as Caravan & Camping shows as required

**The successful applicant will demonstrate**:

- Minimum 3 year previous retail sales experience in a high volume outlet
- Previous experience within a specialist retail environment
- Caravan, RV, Auto and Marine industry exposure
- Experience with Dynamics Navision would be highly regarded
- Current Drivers Licence
- Certificate in Retail or Retail Operations would be an advantage but not necessary
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient computer experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
