**Description**:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking all-rounders with a variety of experience to work within our care centres, main production kitchen and in a commercial café environment. The Food Service Assistant and Café Barista’s role is to ensure a high standard of all meal services are provided to residents, staff, and the wider community - permanent and casual positions available.
**Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:
- Day to day provision of café services, including making and serving coffee, dishwashing, and assisting in the preparation, storage, and retrieval of food and beverages
- Ensuring customer needs and dietary requirements are met and updated on residents’ records
- Maintaining high standards of personal and operational hygiene practices
- Maintaining adequate supplies of beverages, food, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and consumables
- Performing general cleaning of service kitchen, dining room and equipment

- Proficient interpersonal communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Efficient time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and ability to work unsupervised when required
- Knowledge of Food Safety (HACCP) guidelines relating to food and beverage service practices, Health Act 1911 (Food Standards), and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
