**About Explorers**:
You will have an opportunity to work for a dynamic and rapidly expanding company in the Early Childhood Education space. As one of the most successful private developers and operators of Childcare centres in Melbourne, your role will be to oversee the maintenance of existing Childcare assets together with defecting new construction.

**About you**:
**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Manage the regular maintenance on all facilities including all requirements to comply with prevailing legislation.
- Perform regular checks on facilities and enter maintenance requests
- Manage reactive maintenance issues raised by you and other staff
- Coordinate all contractors and onsite works
- Asses and review maintenance requests and determine appropriate repairs
- Participate in the development of new checklists and procedures to improve timing and efficiency of repairs
- Complete defect lists for newly completed facilities

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience in managing defects for mixed use buildings including residential and commercial buildings.
- 3+ years direct experience in managing contractors (both onsite or in the office)
- Experience in defect and quality management on construction sites
- 2 years+ onsite experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to effectively manage time & resources/ multitask across multiple projects
- Willingness to regularly travel between sites
- Strong IT literacy; ability to use software such as Ipad/ laptop and smartphone
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work both as a team member; and by yourself.
- Experience using hand tools.
- Reliable and punctual.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Full and valid Driver’s license.
- Valid white card.
- Ability to secure a Working with children check.

This is a full-time position, 38 hours a week. Our operating days are Monday to Friday, however there may be the opportunity for occasional weekend work.

The position will be based out of our Southbank office but will require travel between sites.
