This is an exciting career opportunity to work as an
**Assistant in Nursing (AIN)** on ward 6C as part of our dynamic nursing team at Northern Beaches Hospital

As an AIN your responsibilities will include:

- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
- Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
- Assess patients using therapeutic skills
- Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries

Healthscope Northern Beaches are an accredited training hospital. Due to our size and acute hospital status, a role in the casual pool of NBH means you'll be involved in training and exposed to a wide range of cases.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

- Certificate IV in Health Care from an approved training provider or 2nd year undergraduate registered nurse or EN TAFE student who has completed their first acute clinical placement.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication
- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to manage shift work (including, day & night shifts) over 7 days
