Exciting State Government Opportunity as a legal support officer

**Your new company**

A State Government Department is looking for a Legal Support Officer to join their team. This role requires you to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**

As an experienced Legal Support Officer your daily duties will include but won’t be limited to:

- Assist with human resources, finances, budgets, information technology and practice management matters
- Provide high quality customer service for internal and external stakeholders in person and on the phone
- Undertake filing of legal documents and assist in the preparation of compliance in a timely manner
- Update and provide case management filing, records, reporting and legal resource database systems
- Prepare documentation such as court documents, agendas, minutes of meetings, reports, briefing materials and presentations
- Identify improvements to work practices and systems

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience providing secretarial, administrative and operational support
- Ability to find solutions to operational problems and implement process improvements
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Microsoft Office knowledge
