**What you will be doing**

Based in our central Melbourne office, we are looking for a market entry and market expansion expert to provide business planning, strategic insight / guidance to a range of exporters in the Food and Beverage sector. Your guidance will allow the delivery of high impact in-market projects, supporting our customers’ growth objectives and providing insights into challenges and best practices to reduce challenges on entry for New Zealand exporters. In this role, you will proactively partner with New Zealand companies to develop and execute their go to market plans. This will include coaching their leadership team to identify the product niche and market approach, identifying opportunities to establish the best market growth strategy and providing expert advice to maximise their market impact.

Well versed in the Food and Beverage industry in Australia, you will use your commercial know-how to play a critical role in evaluating exporters’ strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to support them with market entry and growth strategies. Your role is all about working with leadership teams to strategise and execute on new channels to market and grow a range of different Food and Beverage verticals that are landing and expanding in Australia.

You will work closely with peers, internal support teams and key stakeholders on initiatives that support customer growth and identify future trends. Your consultative approach, ability to activate your networks and business credibility, will be highly valued, as will your willingness to capture all interactions in our Customer Relationship Management systems.

**What you will need to be successful**

With commercial smarts and know-how to manage a portfolio of food and beverage companies, you’ll play a key role in evaluating their capability and opportunities to supporting them with market entry and growth strategies. You’ll have widespread networks in the Food & Beverage industry and excellent knowledge of how the market operates along with commercial acumen and know-how to manage a portfolio of companies.

Keen business acumen is critical, as will be your extensive knowledge in working alongside CEOs and willingness to 'roll your sleeves up'. You will have superior communication, business consulting and relationship management skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.

Your enthusiastic, 'can-do' attitude, proactive nature, creative problem-solving skills and ability to work in virtual teams across multiple sectors will be critical to your success.
