Position Overview

As a Ride Leader, you’ll lead engaging and safe bike tours for diverse community groups. From scenic rides along the Parramatta River to cultural discovery tours, you’ll play a key role in fostering a love for cycling while promoting active and sustainable lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead bike tours, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
- Develop routes highlighting Parramatta’s natural and cultural landmarks.
- Provide guidance and support to riders of all skill levels, particularly beginners.
- Perform pre-ride safety checks on bicycles and equipment.
- Ensure participants are equipped with essential safety gear, such as helmets and lights.
- Cultivate an inclusive, positive atmosphere that encourages community engagement.
- Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies during tours.
- Maintain accurate ride logs, including incident reports when required.

Qualifications and Skills
- Experience leading bike tours or group rides and working with diverse community groups.
- Excellent bike-handling skills and a strong knowledge of safe cycling practices and NSW Road Rules for Bicycle Riders.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (current).
- Relevant qualifications in Outdoor Leadership or a similar field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly, make sound decisions, and manage challenges during rides.
- Passion for promoting cycling, sustainability, and local culture.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $29.33 - $32.35 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 8 per week
