Public Area Attendant

Perth, Australia Holiday Inn Full time

As a Public Area Attendant, you will be responsible for:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; sweep floor; remove non-closet items and store in appropriate areas
- Respond to guests’ requests such as deliver of housekeeping supplies
- Clean other designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors
- Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens.
- Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions
- Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects
- May assist with other duties as assigned
- Responsible for the outdoor landscaping upkeep
- Complete daily reports outlining work undertaken for the day

- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Good Communication and writing skills
- Have the legal right to work in Australia without limitation or restrictions.
