**About Molecular Imaging and Therapy**

The Department of Molecular Imaging and Therapy (MIT) is located on two campuses that are situated close to one another. The main services are provided at the Austin Hospital, which has four state of the art SPECT/CT gamma cameras, two clinical and one research PET/CT scanners, one cyclotron and extensive physics and chemistry support and research facilities. The Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital has two DXA scanners for the outpatient Bone Mineral Densitometry trials and service.

**About the role**

This position is for a Clinical Trial Fellow in Molecular Imaging and Therapy, which includes Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging, as well as Theranostics with radionuclide therapies. The Fellow will be involved in all the Phase 1 to 3 trials run within the Department, and work closely with Clinical Trial Fellows in the Oncology Trials Unit at Austin Health and Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.

The position objectives are to perform the duties of this position efficiently to the standards of the Department, including participating in the Austin Health performance appraisal program. To work as an integral member of the Department in providing a best practice Nuclear Medicine, PET, Therapy and Clinical Trial service. A close association with referrers to the Department will be a priority, as will participation and supervision of the training program for medical and other staff.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you must:

- Be a Medical Practitioner registered with the Medical Board of Australia
- Be eligible for accreditation, or admission to RACP
- Be able to relate with scientific, secretarial, nursing and technical staff
- Be able to work as a member of a highly functioning multi-disciplinary team
