Looking for a Marvellous Afternoon Manny/ Nanny in West End

Start Date: immediate

Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour + superannuation and leave entitlements

Fuel Allowance: 98c per km

Contract Type: Part-time, long-term (minimum 12-month commitment)

Hours:

- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm
- Potential for additional hours during school holidays
- Optional extra hours available for house cleaning if desired

About the Family:
This busy, professional family includes two school-aged children:

- Eldest (11, Grade 7): Active and sporty, heavily involved in soccer through out the week and on weekends.
- Youngest (9, Grade 4): Musical and creative, learning keyboard and drums, with a love for dance (ballet to hip hop).

The parents, an Australian mum and an Iranian-Australian dad, value fostering independence and teaching life skills. The children are bilingual, speaking English and conversational Farsi.
- Warm, reliable, and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
- Patient, organised, and confident in managing busy routines and schedules.
- Skilled at problem-solving and time management in busy environments.
- Encourages independence while maintaining clear boundaries and house rules (e.g., no TV or computers on weeknights, tidying up, and preparing for activities).
- Ideally, has a musical background to support the youngest child’s practice on the keyboard and drums.
- Confident driver, comfortable with high-traffic areas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Before children arrive home from school/ in downtime when children are at extracurricular activities:

- Arrive at the family home, pack snacks, and double-check children’s bags for the day’s activities (ensuring they have correct gear).
- Taking initiative to complete light household tasks, such as, putting on a load of laundry, folding washing, and handling general tidying after meals and activities.
- Cooking simple dinner recipes.
- Pickup and Transport: Wait for children to walk home from school, then transport them to and from extracurricular activities - there will be lots of soccer training, dance practice, music lessons and band practice. The children can be left unattended during class/ activity times.

When the children are home:

- Assist with homework and provide support during music practice.
- Prepare and pack lunches for the next day, pack bags with items for the next days activities with the children’s involvement.
- Ensure the children keep their rooms organised and tidy.

**Requirements**:

- Current Blue Card/Police Check
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Two references
- Own vehicle with a valid driver’s licence (open licence)
- Ability to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months
