Foreperson

**Horse Trainer/Foreperson**
- able to educate our young horses on the ground,
- be responsible for a team and barn of horses,
- assist the trainer with all horse training duties.

The salary will be above award depending upon the skill and level of responsibility.

**Essential Skills**:
All applicants must have a minimum of 3-years full time professional experience in the role, or at least 2 years full time highly relevant experience and a relevant qualification.

In addition, the following will be required:

- Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing
- Proven ability to train and educate young horses
- Where appropriate ability to pre-train young horses
- Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide information
- Proven management experience as a foreperson
- Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses
- Proven as a reliable worker with excellent horsemanship skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
