The Education Lead at Barwon is a vital leader in the Communications and Engagement department and one that can help drive behaviour change in our community. You will lead campaigns to embed our Healthy Sewers and Water Matters messaging and be at the forefront of our school and community education programs to increase water literacy.

You will also head up our grants, community sponsorships and partnerships, seeking out opportunities to extend the reach of our education programs and provoke discussion and passion about water and its many values.

Leading a small and highly engaged team, you will nurture their growth, to ensure they can achieve their best outcomes.

**About you**

A comfortable leader with excellent communication skills, you are at your best developing and executing creative strategies or campaigns. You enjoy working in the community and build trusted relationships which lead to mutually beneficial outcomes.

Capable of overseeing a program of work, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure as you adapt to shifting priorities.

With a love of storytelling, you enjoy finding innovative and fun ways to have conversations with our community, from young children to older adults and people from diverse backgrounds.

You will be capable of working autonomously and providing end to end delivery of community education programs to achieve maximum impact.

Your experience in communication or campaign management will be underpinned by your qualifications in communications, social marketing or community engagement. You will be organised and with a genuine passion for community and regional prosperity.

As this role will see you work in the community and with schools, you will have, or be willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check.
