**Role Description/Criteria**

We are seeking a passionate Physical Education teacher to join our team and work with all students in our school. This position is a maternity leave replacement with the FTE 0.33 (this time fraction and grade levels will be confirmed with applicants at interview.)

The successful applicant must have a commitment to the teaching and learning philosophy of Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools, be able to work collaboratively in a professional learning team and be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum in Physical Education.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and innovative educators who demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the physical development of students in their classes. The position is a fixed term, maternity leave replacement.

The successful applicant should display a willingness to be part of a school culture that encourages working together and understand the importance of providing each child with a personalized, rich learning journey.

Special Requirements:

- Experience in teaching Physical Education to students in all levels of primary school
- Understanding of Victorian Curriculum in Physical Education
- Passion and competence in teaching Physical Education
- Ability to embed understanding of the importance of Physical Education and living a healthy lifestyle
- Hold current VIT registration
- A commitment to Catholic Education
- Evidence of further learning to support them in their role.
