**Job Opportunity: Production & Market Assistant**

**Position**: Part-time (15 hours per week) with event person

Company Overview: We are a pioneering certified organic and certified sustainable distillery, committed to crafting high-quality spirits that celebrate the art of distillation and the richness of organic ingredients. Located in Mitchell, Canberra, our distillery is seeking to employ a dedicated individual to join our team as Production and Event Assistant.

**Responsibilities**:
The role is split into two distinct functions, A) assisting in production activities in normal business hours at the distillery and B) organise, set up and sell products during event hours, typically weekend hours.

The primary role is assisting production and logistics and the event work is as required, but expect 12-15 weekends per year.

**Assisting in Production activities **(approximately 15hrs, Mon-Fri):

- Play a pivotal role in the bottling, labelling, and boxing finished goods
- Keep the production site clean and tidy
- Support the team in handling freight logistics and packing orders for timely shipments.
- Perform regular stock-take on finished goods and components,
- Ensure all safety, hygiene protocols are followed to our high level quality standards.

**Leading events **(hours to fit the events schedule):

- Proactively identify and source new markets and events to further expose our brand.
- Prepare, organise and transport the required products, props and furniture (as required) for market/events,
- Set up sales stands, creating an attractive and inviting display.
- Handle sales transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Source and coordinate other workers to support as required, ensuring a capable and engaged team.
- Interact with customers, providing information about our products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a production or market assistant role is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends as required by the event schedule.
- Eligible to work in Australia.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.

Schedule:

- Assisting Production: 15 hours per week (flexible schedule) Monday to Friday
- Saturday and Sunday, as required by the event schedule
