MR Driver - Immediate Start

Viking Events are specialists in the hiring of portable toilets, showers and hydration into the major event and festival industry

This role is a hybrid of:

- Equipment maintenance and repairs and
- MR driver

This is not a glamorous role and there are some hard days of work involved, especially during event season, but you'll get paid well and get the ability to work a lot of overtime to earn more. We're a friendly workplace and you'll be appreciated (and compensated) for your work.

We offer:

- Plenty of extra hours available during event season to earn extra $$$
- Variety in your role, working on and maintaining our equipment, setting up and working during live events - you won't be just sitting in a truck all day
- An opportunity to learn new skills and drive a variety of vehicles from flatbed & trailers to tilt and pump trucks
- Peak period October through April has more of driving, weekend work and working on sites before and after major events.
- Quiet period May to September we focus all our time on repairing and upgrading equipment from our yard in Clayton South.

Key role responsibilities:

- Delivery, installation and collection of portable toilets and toilet buildings across Melbourne
- Repair, maintenance and cleaning of equipment in our yard so that it’s ready for hire
- Working during live festivals and events
- Interacting with customers in a professional way
- Helping maintain an organised yard and work area
- Be looking for a long-term role, not just another salary or job
- Be fairly physically fit
- Have a current Australian MR license (minimum)
- Have a current forklift licence
- Be mechanically minded with the ability to work with your hands
- Be reliable, self-motivated and able to work autonomously and also
- Be happy to follow instructions and schedules, and work to timeframes
- We well presented and able to communicate well with customers
- White Card an advantage
- Tilt tray experience is desirable but not required

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime

Supplementary Pay:

- Bonus
