Sustainability is at the heart of what we do at Reece. We have now published our first sustainability strategy and environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting roadmap to enhance our sustainable business practices, empower trade to adapt to climate change, and play a meaningful role in building resilient communities where we operate.
We need an ESG expert to help bring the strategy to life, take our ESG reporting and disclosure to the next level and support the business to identify and deliver continuous improvement projects. You will also measure and share our collective impact so that we are transparent and accountable to our progress, all while supporting our focus on our 2030 vision.
**About the Role**:
The role is also accountable for providing a seamless approach to gathering information and assurance of our metrics. Using this data, you will guide the business to refine and enable our strategy as our ESG champion that lives our values and is an influencer of change.
Responsibilities include (and are not limited to):
- Work with the product, marketing and supply teams to build out our sustainability offering from both a corporate and customer perspective.
- Demonstration of the value of ESG reporting to drive continuous improvement and great customer experiences.
- Education and empowerment of teams to report in accordance with IFRS and TCFD requirements.
- Operationalise our ESG strategy through working groups, reporting and governance structures.
- Implement communication campaigns about our ESG agenda that helps tell our story and attract future talent.
- Manage all sustainability reporting requirements, including development of our yearly Sustainability Report.
- Manage, develop and analyse data sets and insights to inform our sustainability approach.
- Analyse risks and opportunities across broader ESG topics.
- Scope reduction targets, ESG metrics and support the business to implement change.
**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong interest and curious approach to understanding how Reece works. You will be driven to develop and deliver first-class ESG reporting and governance outcomes for now and into the future, whilst demonstrating first-class stakeholder engagement and advisory skills.
We’re looking for a highly experienced professional with a roll-your-sleeves-up attitude. Vision, drive and a keen strategic outlook are hallmarks of your approach.
Your background will include:
- A minimum of four - five years’ experience in an ESG or sustainability reporting role.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and requirements.
- A comprehensive understanding of how ESG relates to material business risks and opportunities.
- Experience leading communications strategies and projects autonomously
- Experience advising and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to flex to both physical and virtual worlds to deliver great communication experiences.
- Demonstrated experience in using technologies and platforms to create efficiencies and opportunities so that our sustainability approach is insights-led.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Environmental or Business.
