The Health Safety and Wellbeing team is a part of the People & Culture Directorate. HSW supports the whole of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and as such, employees travel between sites ranging between Waterfall and the Sydney CBD.

**What you'll be doing**

The Recovery Partner is responsible for implementing the SESLHD return to work program, providing high level specialised and technical advice and support services for injured workers as they recover at work, and assisting SESLHD to meet their obligations as required under the workers compensation legislation to achieve business and service objectives.

The Recovery Partner is a key link between the worker and their support team as they recover. Recovery Partners also assist workers with a workers compensation or a non-compensable injury, to recover at work.
- Provide high level specialised & support services to injured employees as they recover at work following work related and non-work related injury and/or illness.
- Assist SESLHD meet our obligations under the workers compensation and industrial legislation & to achieve business & service objectives.
- Act as a key link between our employees & their support team as they recover from injury & illness. Including but not limited to: initiating early contact with workers & their recovery team, developing & monitoring effective return to work plans under medical guidance & standardised recovery time frames, conducting medical case conferences, undertaking workplace visits.
- Maintain comprehensive file records in accordance with SESLHD & legislative requirements.
- Developing & maintaining effective working relationships with service providers, business units/service lines, unions, fund manager & team members.
- Collaborate with the Health Safety & Wellbeing Team & customers groups to identify strategies for prevention of injury & identify continuous improvement opportunities in injury management procedure & policy.

- All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). - Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available._

**Selection Criteria**
- Relevant qualifications in occupational recovery at work case management, including SIRA Return to Work Co-ordination accreditation and/or SIRA exemption, or related discipline or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
