Disability Service Officer

Provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Assist individuals in developing and achieving their personal goals, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that respects the rights, dignity, and choices of the individuals you support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, family members, and other support workers, to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and incident reports.
- Implement behavior support strategies and crisis intervention techniques as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals you support.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in disability support.
Pay: $74,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Smithfield, NSW 2164: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Education**:
- Diploma (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Support worker/ Disability service officer: 1 year (preferred)
