You will be strongly focused on delivering easy to read, practical advice to clients in order to achieve building regulation compliance at all stages of building design, development and for existing buildings. This will involve thorough analysis of design information for proposed buildings and detailed inspections and understandings of building under construction or existing buildings. You will be required to carry out detailed assessment of building plans, services details and specification for proposed works, to inspect and provide clear advice on buildings under construction and to provide advice on existing buildings with a view to provide effective and efficient upgrading for both fire safety and access for people with a disability. You will also assist in developing relationships with clients and working as part of a team to deliver high quality customer service. Key responsibilities include: - Assist the Directors and Managers and Senior Building Regulations Consultants with delivering services within timeframes, cost and quality. - Source your own clients,in addition to the work provided to you by BCA Logic and identify opportunities for new business market or clients. - Prepare fee proposals and liaise with clients to identify their needs.>Follow up issued fee proposals with clients to assist in winning projects. - Assist the Directors and Managers and Senior Building Regulations Consultants with delivering services within timeframes, cost and quality. - Review, assess and provide recommendations of various stages of developments including out of scope works. - Work on-site assessments and reporting -this will include representing BCA Logic at site visits and client meetings. - Ability to write complex and detailed reports. Qualifications: Our assessment criteria for this position will include: - Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role with private practice or a construction organisation - Good technical knowledge of building of all classes and types. - A demonstrated ability to assess alternative building solutions - Current Class C Driver's License. - Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Building Surveying or the like. - Have a CPCCOHS1001A - work safety in the construction industry qualification (white card) or be prepared to undertake the training. - Eligibility for enrolment, or currently enrolled, in a relevant post graduate course, such as the Graduate Diploma of Building Surveying.
