We are recruiting for a well-established and reputable manufacturing company located in Southwest Sydney. They are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to fill the positions with Mechanical Trade Assistants/Machine Operators who have a strong mechanical aptitude. As a Mechanical Trade Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced team of Maintenance Fitters and engineers, contributing to the smooth operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

**Your new role**
- Operate production machinery and assist the maintenance team and engineers in carrying out maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Perform tasks such as equipment cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Monitor machinery and report any issues or abnormalities to the maintenance team promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience as a trade assistant or in a similar mechanical role is preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions closely.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing work demands.
- Previous experience working with hand tools and production machinery
