Weather Presenter

A rare opportunity for an experienced presenter, reporter or meteorologist to join our team in Sydney on Sky News Weather (Foxtel, Channel 601) and other Sky News channels and streaming platforms.

**What’s the role?**
- Research forecasts, warnings and observations with our meteorologists and priorities weather events to build the daily editorial
- Build and present weather reports using our industry leading graphics software
- Respond to breaking weather news and provide live severe weather alerts as required.
- Work closely with Sky News reporters, producers, and presenters to collaborate on coverage for weather events.
- Write weather news items and prepare openers and teases including basic video editing.
- Available to work on weekends, public holidays and fill other shifts at short notice, as required

**Who are you?**
- Two years’ experience in a television, radio, print or online newsroom, or similar

OR
- BSc graduate in Atmospheric Science or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to confidently present on-air
- Developed time management skills, the ability to multitask and work to strict deadlines
- Willingness to learn complex scientific processes in a short training period
- Ability to work independently within a broader team environment
- Experience with Quantel & ENPS desirable
