Eastern Beaches Salvos provide a variety of services to people living in the Eastern Beaches communities of Sydney. The Corps distributes food parcels with food supplied by Oz Harvest, offers weekly community breakfast and community lunch, provides material aid food parcels and acts as center through which clients can collect assistance from the Doorways program. Doorways and Pathways caseworkers provide programs and casework through the center. There is a weekly community table (faith gathering) where people share fellowship.- Key responsibilities- Refer enquiries to the appropriate mission expression

Qualifications and skills (desired/required)
- Experience in administration is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Sharepoint
- Confident with online systems and software, as well as using printers (specific on the job training will be provided)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Background check requirements
Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation. Where an applicant has disclosable history, the selection process includes a fair assessment and a risk management approach. Collection of personal information is handled per our privacy and confidentiality policies. Below is what is required for this role:
- As this role involves dealing with confidential information and access to TSA Systems, it requires a Police Check
- As this role involves direct contact with vulnerable community members, it requires a Working with children Check
Training Requirements
One of the many ways we care for people is by ensuring our workers are well equipped with the necessary knowledge to complete their role safely.
To successfully undertake this role, the following training is required:
- Category A training: Foundational training which includes an introduction to The Salvation Army, code of conduct training, work-safe and child-safe practices.
