**Job Overview**: We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Drivers to join our team for both morning and afternoon shifts. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being while maintaining a positive and supportive environment. This position requires a commitment to punctuality, a clean driving record, and a passion for working with children.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a school bus along designated routes, picking up and dropping off students at scheduled times and locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and school district policies to ensure the safety of students and other road users.
- Maintain positive communication with students, parents, and school staff.
- Monitor student behavior on the bus and enforce safety rules and guidelines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the transportation supervisor.
- Ensure students safely board and disembark the bus.
- Assist with loading and unloading special needs students if necessary.
- Keep accurate records of student ridership and any incidents that occur during the ride.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained bus.

**Requirements**:

- Valid QLD Driver’s License (HR or LR)
- Clean driving record with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Experience working with children (preferred, but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage student behavior in a calm, professional manner.
- Physical ability to assist students if needed (e.g., helping students board or disembark).
- Flexible to work both morning and afternoon shifts with occasional route changes.

**Shift Details**:

- **Morning Shift**: Typically starts at 7:30am and ends by 9:30am
- **Afternoon Shift**: Typically starts at 2:30pm and ends by 4:30pm
- Flexible scheduling for school holidays - full time hours available

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
