**THE ROLE**
The Solicitor role in the Statewide Child Protection Litigation Office (CPLO) is responsible for providing legal advice, support and representation in child protection litigation matters in various courts including the Children's Court of Victoria, the Supreme Court of Victoria, and related jurisdictions.
You will work predominantly with one of CPLO's metropolitan/regional legal teams, and will travel to various Children's Court locations and Child Protection Offices. Interstate travel to support the department and its clients may be required.
This position requires a Working With Children Check.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Provide well-reasoned legal advice, briefings and correspondence.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues to deliver client focused legal services.
- Appear or instruct in litigation involving the department in a wide range of courts and tribunals.
