Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Freedom of Information Coordinator on a contract for 2-3 months with potential extension.

**Position Overview**
- Under general direction, perform statutory functions under the Freedom of Information Act 2016 (FOI Act) for end-to-end processing of FOI requests including:

- Collecting, collating, and preparing responses for relevant parties (internal and external) to requests for access to information, including scheduling and redactions.
- Assist in maintaining the CMTEDD FOI database.
- Meeting FOI publication requirements.
- Adhering to records management requirements.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality in all aspects of the work and deal sensitively with issues as they arise.
- Support the Information Management team and the Information Officer.
- Actively participate in, and contribute to, CMTEDD and Corporate Management activities.
- This position does not involve the direct supervision of staff.

**Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge**
- Understanding of records management principles and ability to use Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS) and Microsoft Excel.

- Well-developed administrative and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities and achieve outcomes within statutory timeframes.
- Capacity to cultivate productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and use advanced written and verbal communication skills to enable effective liaison and negotiation, including the ability to inform, influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve customer problems and deliver improvements that achieve individual, team and/or organisational objectives.

**Compliance Requirements / Qualifications**
- A tertiary qualification in Public Administration, Law or other related discipline, or study towards it, will be highly regarded.
