**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct engaging and effective tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of HSC or VCE Physics students.
- Explain complex HSC or VCE Physics concepts in a clear, concise, and accessible way.
- Provide comprehensive support across all topics within the HSC or VCE Physics syllabus.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on student work, including assignments and practice exams.
- Develop and implement effective study strategies and exam preparation techniques.
- Identify students' learning gaps and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions (recording all lessons if online) and student progress.
- Communicate effectively with students and, where appropriate, parents/guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Stay up to date with the current HSC or VCE Physics syllabus and examination requirements.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Strong academic background in Physics: preferably (but not necessarily) holding a degree in Physics, a related science field, or relevant teaching qualifications.
- Alternatively, be enrolled at an Australian university studying physics and/or completed HSC or VCE physics at the highest band possible.
- Thorough understanding of the current HSC or VCE Physics syllabus and examination format.
- Ideally, a proven experience in tutoring HSC or VCE Physics students with demonstrable success (e.g., improved grades, positive student feedback).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and patiently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).

**Compensation**:
Salary is highly competitive and generally well above market rates.

**Location**:
Tutoring can take place in-person at student homes, online, or at Tutorio's Camperdown, NSW premises.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 2 per week
