Consulting Arborist

Redback Tree Services Pty Ltd is in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Consulting Arborist to join our team. Our offices are located in Dingley Village, Ormond & Greensborough. This position has the potential to be based at any of these places. As a Consulting Arborist, you will play a crucial part in offering professional recommendations and direction regarding tree care and upkeep to our varied clientele. This is a Parttime/ Contract opportunity that allows for involvement in the Arb industry and aids in the growth of Redback Tree Services' consulting division.

**Your responsibilities will include**
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of trees, taking into consideration their overall well-being, stability, and likelihood for hazards.
- Create holistic management strategies to guarantee the sustained health and security of the client's trees.
- Offer professional guidance and suggestions to clients regarding the optimal approach for tree maintenance, including pruning and potential removal.
- Create comprehensive documents to assist clients in making informed decisions.
- Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to organize tree management efforts.
- Keep yourself informed about the current developments, laws, and recommended methods in arboriculture.
- Teach and guide less experienced arborists on our team.

**Our desired outcome**
- A tertiary degree in Arboriculture, Horticulture, or a related area of study.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Consulting Arborist or in a comparable position is required.
- Proven proficiency in evaluating trees, mitigating risks, and devising treatment strategies
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities to proficiently convey technical information to clients.
- Expert problem-solving and decision-making skills to offer economical and feasible solutions.
- Expertise in utilizing industry-recognized tools and software for both tree evaluation and data organization
- Demonstrating a dedication to ongoing professional growth by remaining current with industry best practices.
- Possession of a valid driver's licence and the flexibility to commute to client locations as needed.
