Parks and Gardens Labourer

**Horticulturists - Parks and Gardens**
- Casual ongoing, full-time hours (opportunities for Temp to Perm)
- 9 Day Fortnight Roster (76 hours worked per fortnight)
- Monday to Friday 6.30am - 3.30pm
- $32-36 per hour + 10.5% super

**About the role**:

- General parks and garden/landscape maintenance
- Physical labouring such as mowing of parks, grass verges and median strips use of whipper snipper, blowing down footpaths, pruning, weeding and site clean-up.
- Attend to urgent maintenance repairs work required for community safety.
- Pruning, hedging, mulching and waste removal
- Manual and chemical control of weeds in street gardens and green spaces
- Operation of ride on mower, whipper snipper and blower
- Embrace a positive Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture

**To be successful in this role you will need to have**:

- Experience in plant and tree planting and maintenance
- Confident use of hand, pruning tools
- Ability to identify and control pests, disease and unwanted plants
- Good communication skills
- Current valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Construction “White” Card
- A Certificate III in Horticulture, Conservation and/or Land Management is highly regarded
