The Role

We are in search of a high caliber Sustainability Solutions Manager to join the team based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. In this role you will drive our sustainability agenda forward. The role is responsible for developing and delivering an emissions reductions strategy, ensuring Toll can deliver on its reduction commitments across all emissions scopes. This role sits on the Fleet, Property, and Procurement leadership teams to support the delivery of their respective sustainability strategies and ensure alignment with the Toll Group Sustainability strategy.

This role has two direct reports and is expected to work in very close collaboration with the Sustainability, Fleet, Property, Procurement and divisional operations teams to deliver results.

As the Sustainability Solutions Manager., you will:

- Develop and implement emissions reduction strategies aligned with Toll’s sustainability goals, collaborating across Fleet, Property, and Procurement teams to ensure integrated planning and execution.
- Drive performance management and reporting, including scenario modelling, initiative tracking, and preparing reports for leadership and external auditors.
- Provide sustainability expertise and build internal capacity, educating and influencing staff, guiding investment decisions, and implementing carbon pricing mechanisms.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of sustainability and ensuring effective delivery of initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders and shape policy, developing sustainability policies and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners to support Toll’s objectives.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, Energy, Mechanical, automation, logistics or related field

Skills and Experience
- Bring deep expertise and leadership with 10+ years of experience in sustainability, especially in transport and logistics, and a strong foundation in carbon management, auditing, and reporting.
- Champion impactful climate action by delivering emissions reductions across all scopes within recognised frameworks like SBTi, and taking ownership of carbon hotspot reduction through collaborative, cost-effective solutions.
- Demonstrate technical excellence in ESG reporting standards, sustainability management plans, and rating tools, with a proven track record of implementing measurable sustainability initiatives.
- Communicate with clarity and empathy, using strong written and verbal skills to translate complex data into accessible insights for diverse audiences.
- Thrive in dynamic environments with resilience, autonomy, and a collaborative spirit—balancing multiple priorities while staying customer-focused and adaptable.
