Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with disability, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.

**About the role**
We are looking for male and female motivated, caring, and compassionate disability support workers in the Lota area. Our client is looking at someone that can assist with Community Access, Mobility/ Wheelchair assistance and has experience with Acquired Brain Injury.
If you have experience working as a Disability Support Worker, are qualified with a minimum Cert III in Aged Care, supporting young people and adults or have a great life experience. We would love to hear from you.
Availability and flexibility are vital.
**What a normal day would look like**
- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families.
- Assist with all manual handling and toileting, showers, meals, medication, cleaning and other tasks as required.
- Support daily planning, advocacy, communication and transport in community settings.
**Qualifications required**
- Must have a QLD driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Experience in managing CPAP and Catheter care
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
