Billing and Claims Officer

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? This is a wonderful opportunity to join our dedicated Finance team as our new Billing and Claims Officer based in our Lakemba office. This position supports the financial management of St Basil’s Community Services.
**Description**:
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
Issue monthly statements and invoices accurately and timely
Submit HCP claims accurately and on time
Reconcile HCP Medicare payment statements
Process direct debits, reconcile receipts, and process refunds
Investigate and resolve billing queries efficiently
Respond to questions about monthly statements and invoices
Prepare monthly and ad hoc billing reports
Document all claiming, billing and invoicing matters
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure billing accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve billing processes and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with billing policies and regulatory requirements

- Have a strong administrative and organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Your experience**:

- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Confidence and experience with billing systems
- Background in medical billing or accounting is desirable
- Qualifications in Finance or Business desirable
