**Ab**out th**e role**
This position is a full-time cadetship role within the Planning and Environment team and is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable on the job skills while completing your degree level study.

Your main duties will include:
- Comply with Council policies and statutory requirements in the protection, preservation, and enhancement of the natural and built environment.
- Liaise with internal and external clients in providing technical planning and development advice.
**Salary Information**
Total remuneration for the role is in the range $64,270.13 to $100,809.69 gross per annum comprising:
- $57,641.37 to $90,412.28 base salary
- $6,628.76 to $10,397.41 superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
- _A satisfactory outcome as a result of a National Criminal History Record Check._
- _Medical clearance to verify that you are safely able to undertake the duties of the position._

**About you**
You will be a strong communicator and enjoy working in a team environment. Good time management and organisational skills are a must in providing support for the efficient operation of the team. You will be a high achiever with a can-do attitude and demonstrate the following:
- Eligibility to enrol or have already enrolled and/or commenced study in the appropriate tertiary course in Town Planning or Urban and Regional Planning.
- High standard of oral and written communication skills.
- Problem solving ability and skills in research and analysis of issues.
- A commitment to working in a team environment and under supervision.
- Commitment to quality customer service and willingness to assist professional staff as required to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services.
