Restaurant Server

Responsibilities:

- **Greeting and Seating Guests**:

- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Present menus and assist guests with any questions about the menu.
- **Taking Orders**:

- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Provide detailed information on menu items, including daily specials, making recommendations upon request.
- **Serving Food and Beverages**:

- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring all orders are accurate and meet restaurant standards.
- Ensure guests have everything they need, checking back frequently to refill drinks and respond to requests.
- **Knowledge of Indian Cuisine**:

- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Understand and explain the flavors and spices used in Indian cooking to guests.
- **Customer Service**:

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure a positive dining experience by anticipating guest needs and exceeding their expectations.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with kitchen staff and other waitstaff to ensure efficient and smooth service.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the dining area for each shift.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness**:

- Keep the dining area, including tables and chairs, clean and tidy.
- Follow health and safety regulations in all aspects of food handling and service.
- **Processing Payments**:

- Accurately process payments, handle cash, and operate the POS system.
- Provide guests with their bills and ensure all transactions are completed correctly.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**:

- Previous experience as a waiter or waitress, preferably in an Indian restaurant or with a strong understanding of Indian cuisine.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems is a plus.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations gracefully.
- **Appearance**:

- Presentable and professional appearance.
- **Availability**:

- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
