About This Opportunity

The position of Team Coordinator, Student Services is responsible for the coordination of the activities, as well as the leadership and supervision of the UQ Skills Student Services team of staff providing administrative services to students and staff to support their teaching and assessment activities, and courses within UQ Skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate the operational aspects of student services activities, across the student lifecycle including admissions; compliance and resulting; and student progression and wellbeing for UQ Skills within the framework of University policies and procedures.
- Provide day to day supervision to professional staff in the Student Services Team, including management of workflow, workloads, proactive leave management, timesheets, general supervision, performance management, including training and development activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective staff training program, including induction and procedural documentation for team staff.
- Oversee responses to enquiries and coordinate the provision of advice and support to the Manager (Student Services), Training Team, and the Program Operations Team on student administration matters by obtaining and analysing relevant information and policies.
- Coordinate systematic reviews of procedures and processes ensuring they are fit for purpose, recommending improvements and the implementation of agreed changes when required.
- Review of forms and procedures as well as running sheets, version control and electronic storage/access as well as archiving of superseded files.
- Prepare, analyse and interpret reports from information management systems
- Coordinate communication between the organizational staff on operational issues associated with academic administration to ensure understanding of operational matters, relevant legislation, rules and policies.
- Collaborate and liaise with colleagues from other departments of UQ Skills, Faculties, Schools and Central units on specific academic administration matters.
- Keep the Manager (Student Services) fully informed about the activities and issues related to the day-to-day provision of administrative support to academic staff.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 2 years.

At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $84,871.95 - $91,158.90, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $99,300.18 - $106,655.91 annually.

About You
- An undergraduate qualification with significant relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in the field of student administration; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated competence in the conduct of administrative duties, including the ability to be proactive in reviewing work practices and updating procedures and processes where required.
- Demonstrated high level of written, oral and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively liaise, communicate and negotiate with people at all levels and from all cultures.
- Proven strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and ensure that deadlines are met whilst demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to oversee the day-to-day administration function in a Registered Training Organisation setting
