**THE OPPORTUNITY**
- We are seeking a Solicitor to join our top-tier Restructuring, Turnaround and Insolvency team, based in Sydney.- You will work closely with highly respected, fresh and dynamic partners Paul Apáthy (Band 2 - Chambers; Future Generation Partner - Legal 500) and Nikki Smythe (top 20 dealmakers under 40 - Australian Financial Review).- This is an opportunity to work on ground-breaking, career-defining transactions with the support and leadership of the best legal minds across the country. You will undertake a range of work that supports and advises corporate debtors, their creditors and special situations investors in responding to distressed situations, including debt restructurings, formal insolvencies, corporate turnarounds, distressed investments, security enforcement, special situations lending and debt trading.- You will have extensive client exposure and opportunities to develop a network of relationships. You will benefit from exceptional learning opportunities working in a team of highly ambitious and collaborative legal and support staff.**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- demonstrable experience in day-to-day management of, and delivering technical advice in connection with, a range of restructuring, insolvency and debt financing matters from a leading top tier, national or international private practice, or in-house environment.- an excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset.-

Our Restructuring, Turnaround and Insolvency (RTI) team is a global cross-practice team of specialist lawyers, drawing from the finance, disputes and corporate practices of the firm. The RTI team has the in-depth knowledge and expertise to work with any business facing financially difficulty with tailored solutions and dedicated advice. Our integrated offering is a particular strength of the firm, allowing us to quickly mobilise highly-skilled, multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional teams whenever needed.

The team acts for some of the largest and most high profile debtors, creditors, investors and insolvency practitioners globally and are trusted by a wide range of clients across many sectors, including financial services, aviation; telecommunications; energy, oil and gas; mining; marine and shipping; retail; food & beverage; infrastructure and real estate sectors.

Our experience covers the whole spectrum of corporate distress, from early stages through corporate turnarounds and transformations, creditor workouts, debt restructurings, and formal insolvency processes. The team is known for advising on extremely complex distressed situations, often across multiple jurisdictions, and which may also include other elements such as special situations financing or litigation.
