POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Field Service Technician Hydraulics will be responsible for the following duties:
- Demonstrate efficiency in reading and following electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings to provide further diagnostics.
- Workshop, pre-hire and onsite servicing/repairing.
- Preparing maintaining service reports in a timely manner upon completion of repairs.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic testing, commissioning, monitoring, and fault finding.
- Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn components.
- Day to day investigation of break-downs, maintenance and repairs on a range of Mobile & Fixed Plant Equipment.
- Thoroughly scoping jobs and reporting on material/labour requirements for jobs to be quoted and executed safely.
- Executing projects and plant shut-downs - starting tasks and projects¥ and seeing it through till the end.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions on various machines.
- Providing technical support to customers onsite and over the phone.
- Preparing clear and comprehensive service reports documenting all work undertaken on workshop, pre-hire and onsite services and/or repairs.
For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
- Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or engineering (Certificate III including at least 2 years of on-the-job training, or Certificate
- IV)
- Fault Finding Skills and Experience
- Maintenance Skills and Experience
- Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical Installation Skills and experience
- Circuit Drawing Interpretation skills and experience
- Able to manage their time well, be able to prioritise and be an avid problem solver
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to work un-supervised
- A team player
- A Safety-First Approach and understand WHS and Safe Work Practises
- A strong understanding of customer service
Pay: $72,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
