**The Role**

We are looking for a confident support worker to join our team in position that will see you providing practical and emotional day-to-day support to our participants during weekdays & weekends for both morning and afternoon shifts. Currently we are looking to fill hours in a towns local to Tweed Heads including Murwillumbah, Bilambil and Tweed Heads. Ideally we are after someone with experience in the sector working alongside participants with acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, mental health and motor neurone disease.

- Domestic assistance
- Meal preparation and gardening support

**We are seeking staff who will**:

- Show initiative in their role
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Be empathetic and caring
- Show compassion and guidance
- Be committed to providing exceptional quality care to participants
- Flexibility to work with short notice from time to time providing coverage for staff who are unable to work on the same day or week
- Writing progress notes and incident reports during your shift.
- You have a smartphone and are able to use basic IT apps.
- Be available for both AM and PM shifts & some weekends

**Skills and Experience**

**To be successful in the role, you will require the following**:

- Previous experience working in the role of a support worker or similar (Not essential but preferred)
- Work Rights in Australia (permanent resident or citizen)
- NDIS worker screening clearance (or police check if waiting for screening clearance)
- Working with children check
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- A current Drivers Licence (P2 or above) and access to a reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance (preferred)
- 100 points of ID- License, passport or birth certificate
- NDIS training certificates and other training certificates relevant to the role
- Highly desirable cert3/cert4

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour
