The Specialist Transaction Manager will share in the leading of a small team responsible for the management and delivery of key government property transactions including the acquisition and divestment of complex property and Crown land assets. The specialist areas of work include transactions relating to government owned land, related party sales, Joint Venture Development Agreements and other priority projects relating to the Director of Housing's purchase, sales and leasing programs.
The role involves collaboratively working with another (0.6 EFT / 3 day a week) Manager maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, the provision of professional advice, management of project staff, external service providers and key stakeholders, the development of strategic frameworks, robust procurement processes, project budget and cash flow management, reporting and risk management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
(a) Researching, preparing, and executing project business cases and plans within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
(b) Preparing and presenting quality reports and work briefings in accordance with the department's project management processes.
(c) Evaluating tender bids and participating in liaison and negotiation associated with tender processes.
(d) Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
2. Oversee, monitor and deliver business area performance across financial and non-financial activities and ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
