Our opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Manager, Data Science to join our Sydney team. The Group Manager, Data Science will be instrumental in delivering on Mirvac’s strategic goal of leveraging data science and advanced analytics, using their technical skills and leadership to manage the delivery of high value business outcomes while ensuring integrity, quality, security and compliance of our data and information assets

**Your responsibilities are but not limited to**:
Assists with the establishment of the Mirvac Data Science strategic capability, providing policies, processes, measures and tools for effective, outcome focused, advanced analytics and business insight.
Prepare and deliver critical data science and advanced analytics projects.
Delivering high value solutions across multiple data science related projects using a variety of techniques and tools.
Engage with senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact insights.
Play a key role in unlocking business value and supporting strategic decision making through advanced analytics.
Develop prototype data science solutions aligned with strategic business initiatives.
Maintain scan of advanced analytics/big data market leading trends, solutions and capabilities that could support Mirvac’s strategic ambitions.
Provide expert advisory services to the leadership and wider Digital team at Mirvac as well as other business stakeholders, customers and suppliers from a data science perspective.
Create an environment and culture where Mirvac’s information assets are accessible, relevant and continually improved by working side by side with business stakeholders.
Develops effective networks and relationships with analytics pioneers.

Your point of difference

To be successful you will have Extensive experience in Advanced Analytics and Data Science and Tertiary qualification in data related discipline (e.g. Advanced degree/PHD in computer science, statistical modelling, mathematics or related disciplines),

Business acumen and the people skills needed to lead, inspire and motivate a small team of data scientists.

Demonstrated ability working in a lead role where you have been required to deliver workflow and performance management, technical training and professional development, thought leadership and driving best practice for your high performing and outcomes-oriented team of data scientists.

Finally, you will have deep knowledge and experience of advanced analytics frameworks and supporting toolsets strong results and customer focus mindset and high levels of integrity and confidentiality
