**About the Position**

Newington College is seeking a passionate and innovative High Potential & Gifted Education Coordinator to join our Inclusive Learning Department on a permanent, full-time basis, commencing in Term 1, 2025.

As the High Potential & Gifted Education Coordinator, you will work closely with the Inclusive Learning Department and teaching staff to review, modify, and expand teaching strategies, empowering High Potential and Gifted Students to engage in advanced knowledge, skills, problem-solving, and critical and creative thinking.

**About You**
- have appropriate teaching and tertiary qualifications relevant to the position
- have experiences working with High Potential and Gifted students
- possess sound knowledge of recent research on High Potential and Gifted students
- demonstrate experience in learning and teaching programs using comprehensive knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and reporting requirements
- have experience in reviewing, and adjusting teaching strategy to enable High potential and gifted students
- show proven critical and creative skills, and flexibility in adapting to gifted students’ needs and improvements
- work effectively as a member of a team
- be personally committed to learning and professional growth
- have a strong work ethic
- possess strong ICT competencies
- show a genuine appreciation and commitment to pastoral care
- participate in the College’s co-curricular program
- understand and adhere to the College’s Child Safeguarding policies and practices
- contribute to the continuous improvement of Child Safeguarding at Newington.

In 2026, Newington will enter an exciting new phase as the College transitions to co-education starting with Kindergarten and Grade Five, becoming fully co-educational by 2033. Our students will enter a world that will require them to walk and work alongside all genders collaboratively, respectfully and empathetically as colleagues, employers, employees, partners, parents and friends.
