**About Us**: Wamuran has a long history of providing an excellent education for students in a supportive and caring environment. We are a small school and pride ourselves on having that "community" feel and spirit. Our student population is currently 363 students from Prep to Year 6. Our dedicated staff offer students a rich learning environment with focused teaching and learning experiences based around the Australian Curriculum. We value the environment in which we live and have established an Earth Protectors program at our school. Robotics and Performing Arts also play a very important part in our extra curricula activities with students invited to participate in clubs before school and at lunchtimes. Wamuran State School is situated on the D'Aguilar Highway in middle of the small township. We have extensive grounds for the students to explore and play on, our classrooms are all fully air-conditioned and we have 100% WiFi coverage throughout the school. **About the Role**: Responsibilities include, but not limited to; - Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision, focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. - Deputise for the Principal when required. - Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity. - Embed socially just practices in daily school life. - Set high standards for student and staff performance. - Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. - Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business. - Be futures oriented and strategic. - Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling. - Manage resources to achieve goals.
