**PIANO TEACHER - TERM 1, 2025**

Focus Music is excited to announce a Piano Teacher position at our school.

We are a popular music school in the Perth Hills and have a number of students on our wait list ready for lessons.

**Teaching Days**:

- We offer teachers the flexibility to choose their teaching days from Monday to Saturday.
- The teacher would preferably be able to commit to 2+ days per week (approx 12-20 students capacity / 6-12 hours per week).

**Teaching Locations**:After-school lessons 3:30pm-8pm and In-School lessons during the school day (9am-3pm).
- Kalamunda (After School lessons)
- Potential for additional teaching in Dayton (During school hours)

**About the Role**:
Your role will be to deliver 20, 30 and 60-minute private piano lessons. We specialise in teaching primary-school aged students however, we also have a number of high school and adult students as well.

We have a full-time administrative team to support teachers throughout the day to ensure you can simply come in and do your thing - teaching

Our admin team covers everything from sourcing and enrolling new students, showing them to your classroom, billing, scheduling (and filling in any gaps), and providing plenty of tea and coffee to keep you running full steam ahead Printing and photocopying is always available to teachers for use. We also have WiFi across the school.

**What we are looking for**:
We are seeking a person who loves teaching, has a positive and enthusiastic personality, and has at least 1 year of teaching experience. Those who have completed or are currently studying music-related qualifications are encouraged to apply.

We work as a collaborative team of teachers and foster a supportive and inclusive work environment. We know every student is different, so we are always here to support each other in brainstorming strategies and activities to engage any student that you may need help with.

For our students, our goal is to create an environment which is fun, stimulating, and focused not only on developing the students' music skills, but developing social and cognitive skills that come from learning an instrument; building strong relationships and making meaningful connections with each student we teach.

**Pay Rates**:

- $36 per hour

**What you will need**:

- Minimum of 1 years teaching experience
- Current Working With Children Card
- Tertiary Qualification (or studying) in Music or related field
- Your own transport (car)
- Your own teaching resources

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $36.00 per hour
